Shanghai welcomed the Financial Times, FT Women at the Top 2011 conference and dinner, designed to once again bring together world-class thought leaders and decision makers to discuss the role of women in business, their contributions as drivers of development and growth, and their inspirational legacy as innovators and influencers in the workplace and beyond. All very fancy for Ms MARY CHING however she seized the moment and enjoyed the inspiration leaders share their journeys. A surprise attendance by Imelda Marcus herself, tickled some feathers of the audience but considering she had a shoe addiction unrelated to her political standing, we felt we needed to include a reference to her 2700 pairs of shoes! Any girls upmost dream.

Back to a serious note, this prestigious event was timed to coincide with the announcement and publication of the FT 2011 Top 50 Women in World Business Ranking and will celebrate, in particular, the women who drive business in China. Luxury in China may be a popular topic but seems Women in Business in China is hot on its tail.
